'What I've Been Up To' Post

I started making this cushion cover yesterday and finished stitching in onto one of the two cushion covers I ordered from Maslina awhile ago, this afternoon. She was surprised when I requested that she sew a printed fabric on only one side. This is the reason why :) I saw several crocheters using this way to attach a granny square/squares easily and without the hassle of crocheting the other side. I really like this pattern and it's my first time trying it out. If you'd like to make it, too, you can find the pattern here.
And this mini bag I made today to be used during Hari Raya when visiting Open Houses(for those who don't know what an Open House is, it's where anybody from anywhere can come and eat and drink at someone's home who's having an Open House. Even if you or they are total strangers! But mostly friends and relatives do this. In our case(islanders), tourists are always welcome!
I crocheted the bag holding 2 strands of yarn together using 2 shades of pink and I attached a pansy for decoration as it was plain all by itself. This is a pretty easy and quick bag to make but it was quite small though, maybe because of the yarn. I found the pattern from raverly, too. Here's the link.
