African Flowers

I've known about these African flowers for awhile now but I just tried making them in these past few days. They are so easy to make and very addictive! I love how I can mix the colors up and I'm trying to make them with an apple green border so that I can make a cushion cover when I have enough. So far I've made 8 pieces with green border, 4 with purple and 1 dark pink. I was inspired to make them when I saw this pillow on Karin on the Hook. Read her post about them here. She does great work!
I found more inspirations from By Elizabeth Cat here. I love how she used all the lovely colors in her work and I go ga-ga over her photos of gorgeous flowers.
If you'd like to make them, I found a great tutorial by Heidi Bears here. For more or rather tons of inspiration, check these out. There's also a group dedicated to them here. I hope you will be inspired to crochet these lovely flowers after looking through all the photos of them. And I'd love to see your projects! Enjoy!

Lovely colors. I also fell in love with the African flowers. Have had little time for crafting, so I've just been able to finish two potholders with them, but they're on my to do list for a few projects.

Nice blog, lovely crafts.

Hugs from Venezuela!
